I can blow up my engines without having to go to the time and effort of actually competing.

Maybe one day, but for the time being its nice to see how you guys are getting on.

Sorry -- fail to see the charm of Abingdon. "Abingdon" course is OK (if very short), but the "Bentley" is abysmal.

Chacun -- I suppose.

Compared with a very brief morning at Lydden I know where my dosh went....

Unfortunately -- I haven't spent any dosh on this weekend (or, it will be returned).

But the prospect of 350+ seconds of beautiful and challenging Lydden (and home for tea) against 180 seconds of enjoyment on the Abingdon course and 200 seconds of futility on the Bentley (and home for bed) was a "no-brainer" for me.

I am the same as you David, I live in Abingdon so no early morning for the only time in the calender and home in less time than it takes to put the car in the trailer. definitely this one over Lydden for me:D :D

I'm with you too David but Abingdon is only half an hour away and although the entry cost is higher than Lydden by the time you take fuel into account there is nothing in it.

I had also promised a friend's car mad son to find a local sprint where he could come along. I must admit I am relieved that Lydden is cancelled as I am leading the class in the TWMC ACSC and would have missed a round. I should point out that of the four entrants I am the only one to have scored points!

Class win for you then David :D it does not matter how you get it the pot will look nice at home in the garage.

In saying that I have never been to Lydden so should make the effort, and also to keep chasing that dreaded Mr B ;)
