Without building a bigger car it is very difficult to add more silencing to the Phoenix....if I could I would have already as I'm sure Mark would have done.

Jeff

There may be some good news. I know you don't like the WSCC going to events -- I don't think Goodwood will be on their programme next year.
Se7en Pervert -- by definition; I don't drive a Caterham

I have never seen it so quite in the afternoon!!! loads of people were moaning and mostly were saying that it was getting to the stage that they would not bother going to Goodwood? the main issue was loosing the points, not sure who decided this but it did not go down very well.

I don't mind the WSCC going to events David, I'm just not on the same level as the quick guys so end up being pushed down the list. I am going to Hethel next weekend and then Debden the weekend after. I think I'll give Goodwood a miss until I can resolve the noise issue otherwise it will be a waste of money (and time) if they carry on excluding people.

Actually I've given this more thought. In the timed run I did the first lap I took Magdwick in 3rd and exited at 97mph....2nd lap was 4th gear at 115MPH. Noise on the 1st lap was 103dB and 2nd lap was 101.5dB. So it seems I just need to go faster through Madgwick to cure my noise problem :)

That's a couple of good looking chaps

Also Jeff you are correct my last run when I knocked 3 sec off I tried every corner one gear up and went faster!!! it did not seem as quick but like you have just said must have carried more speed through the corners.
