Cold/Wet North Weald with a very good entry including the Ferrari OC, TVR OC and LoT sprint guys. I did 2 practise runs in the wet and then 1 timed run in the damp after which it started to rain again. Got beaten by Stephen Laing in his R500 (again!) by 1 sec. 2nd in class and 8th overall with a 83.2 sec run. FTD was an Impreza with 80sec.

Hadn't realised that masochism ran in your family, Jeff. Rotten track, and this meeting is normally very cold, windy, and sometimes torrential.
Good to be within 5 seconds of a well driven Impreza in those conditions, though

Re: North Weald 17th March
I was less than a sec behind young Mr Laing in his R500 and looking at the video I see where I lost the time. 'Interesting' track conditions as you can see and this was the best of the runs. It started raining in the Lunch break so I decided to pack up and go home as I wasn't going to go any faster.
Had a pretty good launch though

Re: North Weald 17th March
Until reading your post , I was thinking it may have been abandoned because we had snow on Sunday morning which continued all day till around 3-00pm then melted by 6-00pm . We were just 10 miles South of Silverstone visiting my son .
