John

Glad you enjoyed yourself, and that our enthusiasm is infectious.

As requested, one (far from perfect) lap from me on video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAtMGNqK5Sw

Hi all,

stuart, John it was great to meet you on Sunday, I had a lot of fun, and glad to hear you are still keen to come and join us for next year.

Here is another video from Sunday, sorry about the quality I think it has been through one to many format changes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS-5vhcLZKg&feature=player_embedded

and here are a couple of stats I took from the data logger

0 - 60mph was 4.17 seconds (slightly down hill)
0 - 80mph was 5.96 seconds

and here's a picture too!

And a slightly better one from Chris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5jwsBAMw4U

If that was far from perfect I'd love to see a perfect lap 8-)

David and Chris, once again many thanks for the day and you'll definitely have some more competition next year

Great video's and photo and thanks for posting them , has the smell of melting plastic gone now Chris ? ;)

Interesting stats from the data logger as well .

John

You're much too kind.

 too much wheel spin away from the line -- had to lift off to regain traction...
:? got tail out slightly at both EWS2 (second left hander) and EWS1 (right hander) causing slight delay in getting power down...
 offside wheels slightly on grass exiting last bend -- major delay in getting power down...

It's interesting. You see much more in terms of potential improvements by studying the video and the datalogs (especially if you have a comparator) than you remember after 50 seconds of frenetic activity. The combination of the above mistakes almost certainly mean there is a 49.xx second lap in the car -- something to aim at next year ;)

I am hoping it has, there can't be that much plastic left to warm up. thankfully Dad hasn't issued the water container footage but i was a little disapointed to see that out of the 3 photos of me from sunday I had locked brakes in two and a water container wedged under the car in two.

And i thought i was getting smoother :?

oooh, this is all very tempting.
Rob/Knobs - I'm also in Oxfordshire would be v interested in tagging along, although I'm due an ankle operation soon which might stop be playing for a few weeks.
I have a live axle Fury -I'm just about to change the zetec engine (1.8 silvertop to 2.0 blacktop) which instantly makes me uncompetative

Would love to have a chat about it and maybe go to see an event. Fancy a trip to a pub somewhere in east oxfordshire (or wherever suits)?

Sorry guys, nothing new -- you've seen both of these vids before -- but Chris is pretty smart with his editing software, so...

That's great, I love the sound of two engines whining away together :) A bit like the motogp when they showed Rossi and Lorenzo racing inches from each other - the sound is awesome!
