We have a slight problem that is very loud static at the moment. OK on drive by but static is 108 at 7500 with all the noise from the gearbox as well.

Try draining 150mls from the box then add same volume of ZX1 Extralube Jeff , possibly wrap the box with deadening but that might create too much heat in there
Either way there's no disadvantage with the ZX1 . I run it in fuel , water and oil . Not if your diff is a plate type LSD though . Google their instructions for use and browse.
When taking the static DB's do you depress the clutch , I always do .(Never tell them the true max revs though , or mine wouldn't pass either)

Apparently rear gearbox cars at MSV tracks are allowed 108 static anyway. The redline is 10.5K so 7K ish is pretty loud static but much quieter drive-by.

Great photo . Last time I was at Cadwell they were running the half circuit where you nip through the Armco then round again , no going up the hill course . However , I was rather ' on it ' at that point and had totally forgotten we weren't doing the full circuit , as there was nothing across the track indicating that . It wouldn't have been too dangerous though , if the circuit admin hadn't rented out the very part of the track in your photo , to a film crew . Tripod all set up on the tarmac , a racer parked there too and various people standing around with microphones :o
I was extremely lucky to get it from flat in 4th to a rather slow motion halt across tarmac then grass  No body even moved , let alone run , so it was my lucky day :P

Fairly stable (long wheel base) so no real drama except how quick it is
