Hi my name is Tony and have a green striker which I built in 2000. It started life with a 2.1 pinto but it now runs a 2.0 zetec.
I attended a few track days It soon became clear these cars are much happier being pushed harder than is possible on the road, so I decided to have ago at sprinting
so joined Nottingham Sports Car Club in 2007. Had the best time but my road spec car would need changing to become more focused and competitive.
Long story, ended up buying another striker (ex race car) which has a 2.3 duratec and spent winter 07 rebuilding with subaru lsd rear end. Work and other commitments has meant
only a few events attended this year and my green striker is being prepared to travel Northern France with my son next year.
I have plans to remove the duratec engine, replace it with a bike engine and look for a another project ie Mk1/2 escort and sprint in the classic class.
