Hi all
I have just signed up to the club.
For a few years I have been hankering after a nice fast road and track car so now I'm in a position to buy one my thoughts turned to the Phoenix or Fury.
I have seen some very nice examples for sale but a lot are bike engined I would prefer something more traditional like a crossflow or a nice toyota twin cam on webers.
I have run a variety of cars over the years including Hillman Imps, mini, GTM Coupe and a few mx5's
Anyway I will be in the lookout for a phoenix or fury soon.
Thanks for having me here.
Dermot.

Hi Adi
I'm in Bury
I have a couple of mx5's which I'm in the process of selling so once they are gone I will be on the lookout.
One down one to go.

How does the Phoenix suit a bike engine?

Nah, only suits Orange Furys with funny roll hoops, everything else needs a proper engine.

I suspect very well but I have never been in one with a BEC, I have been in a BEC Fury around Llandow (thanks Adi, you know we love you really  ) which is a tiny bit larger than the Phoenix and that went very well :D

As a weekend car with occasional track use would I be correct in saying the Fury would be more suited than the Phoenix?
Although having said that I have just been looking at a striker online and they seem to tick a lot of the boxes as well.
