Hi from Belgium

Postby Werner Van Loock » Sat Sep 12, 2009 8:18 pm

Hi, I'm Werner from antwerp Belgium, 32 year and father of 3 :o
Got a 1989 Striker MKII since last year bought as a temporary solution whilst building a Stylus, but sold the Stylus a year later as it wasn't going to get ready in 10 years

The striker is chassis 17 powered by a Toyota 4age 1600 16v mated to a T50 gearbox and weighs in at exactly 500kg wich puts a big :D on my face everytime I drive it

Winterprojects:
  • replace the Morris Minor Ital axle by a english axle together with disc brake conversion
  • full cage with side impact bars (feel a bit naked in it without a windscreen)
  • Convert 4age from Dellorto's to Jenvey Throttle bodies and Vems ecu
  • Replace the seats by fiberglass shells due to my length being 6'3"

Here's me in action

Here's my Gf in action in it, almost lost it to her :P

It also looks like you nearly lost her in it :) Is it track only or is Belgium more relaxed about front number plates?

Hahaha, she measures 5'2" :D

She actually coplained not being able to see over the nose so she kept looking out the side to see the corners 8-)

It wasn't registered yet, but now is. Pictures were taken on a trackday.

Well, winterprojects will start early as the rear oil seal of the T50 has gone and averything in the tunnel has received a nice anti-rust treatment :P

Anyone know wich is the oil filler plug on the T50?

Hi Werner :D Some may not know that you run the www.clubstylus.be site for us so here's a greatful ' plug ' for your continued efforts :) Perhaps see you in 2010 :?: there's a spare room going plus dry parking for the Striker

time for some update

Destroyed the rear axle in june (it was a morris minor rear axle)

So decided to get a fully rebuilt english axle instead together with the fitting of a rollcage

Yesterday I had the first drive since june, :D :D :D

This is how it looks like now.

Far too clean Werner -- but I like the black & white wheels ;)

Hi Werner

Long time no see, seems an awful long time since our Llandow day !

Yours is looking good :P

I've had mine in bits since May too, I'm hoping for a drive in the next week or two also !
(Just in time for its winter sleep)
