watching the pics, the bonnet (in case it wouldnt touch the engine) could be lowered around 10-15mm (maybe 20mm), until it would sit levelled with the side panels & touching the scuttle, but this wont cure the high front, imo.

could you post a pic of the front suspension, where the angle of the wishbones could be seen?

This leader on the road again, 29th year of my ownership by my reckoning, all motd & taxed for the summer. Had to remodel the plumbing due to persistent overheating. Might even drive it to stoneleigh next weekend.

I have only really fitted a larger header tank up on the scuttle with an expansion bottle, it wasn't so much overheating as struggling to keep the engine full of coolant. If you tried to fill it right up it would inevitably spit its coolant on the floor. Running nice & cool now, still may have to run a pipe from the top of the rad to the header for air separation.
