Hi everyone, I've been lurking as a prospective Sylva purchaser for some time and now in possession of a Striker with a good old crossflow engine and general proper old school build.
As is the norm for me the car is undergoing some fettling in readiness for some speed events, I'll post progress as I go, fate would have it that I'll be on holiday when all the ordered parts are delivered so it'll be a couple of weeks before posts appear.
More to follow.

Nice looking Striker. Nice to see one with full weather kit for a change.

Re: Scottish newbie
Thanks for the welcome folks, progress on the car is slow due to holiday preparations and postal delays. It'll all come together soon.
I've made up a jig to alter the engine mountings, hopefully I'll have the mounts welded up tomorrow evening.

Re: Scottish newbie
I didn't explain why I'm altering the engine mounts, the original Ford Escort type mounting is hard to obtain now so I'm using Westfield mounts which are thicker hence cutting down the original. The mountings currently fitted are a bit tired and distorted so a change won't be detrimental.
I'll post the sequence once completed, here's a picture of the jig, still some prep to do before welding in this instance.

I've just realised that I've gone off topic a bit, I'll start a new thread when there's more to report.
