Changes to the Highway Code

Postby pigeondave » Mon Dec 20, 2021 6:39 pm

What's everyone think about these?

I was always told to be predictable and not courteous. Stopping abruptly to be nice to someone doesn't necessarily mean you're being safe for the people behind you.

I have had people at (little dot in the road) roundabouts try to wave me through, even though I'm giving way to them as they are to my right.
People don't know the rules now. I wonder how these will affect standards?

People don't understand follow the highway code now! Just changing the highway code won't make a blind bit of difference!
Little education and probably even less policing of it also, so why should we expect change?

Could it lead to a greater number of prosecutions due to people not knowing the new rules?
