Striker Mk4 bodywork
Has anyone heard of a Striker using Mk4 bodywork, looks very Phoenix/Fury'ish?
The older I get, the better I was, when I can remember. Nurse! The screens please

Yes - I think this is mentioned in the build manual for my Mk2 Striker. It was the predecessor to the Phoenix I think ?

This is a pic of a "Striker Mk4"
according to 7 indulgance.com...
I have seen a few pics, most noticable is the lower nose.
I think there was a black one for sale in the magazine classifieds a few months back. £6k if my memory serves.

Re: Striker Mk4 bodywork
The Striker Mk.4 was JP's more aerodynamic take on the car.
He called it the "Mk 4 Clubman" and it was raced very successfully in the early 90's.
It was actually based on the Striker Mk 3, and had conventional wishbone front suspension using Chevette uprights and steering rack.
As is his wont, he sold the project to a chap named Chris Appleby, who ran a company called "Phoenix Sportscars".
It was he who renamed the car the "Sylva Phoenix".
I bought a kit from him in 1991, had it on the road by 1992 and only sold it two years ago. (Wish I hadn't. )
The later "Phoenixes", which had the rocker-arm front end, looked similar, but had completely different and, IMHO, not as attractive bodywork.

It's all a matter of taste of course, but I just love the waisted look of the original.......
