IRS Striker

Postby peter030371 » Tue Nov 05, 2013 9:55 am

Since 1995 I have owned, crashed (only the once in 1995  ), used, rebuilt, upgraded and general enjoyed my live axle Striker :D

I have now reached a point where I want to change so much (engine from 'old school' Fiat TC to 'modern school' Duratec, gearbox (to suit engine change), instrumentation, lights, loom, brakes, shocks) it seems to make sense to start again but I have a question.

I expect to use the car for 75% road/ 25% trackdays....how much more compliant is the IRS car over the live axle car for touring? I would really like to drive one but can't see me being able to find one within 1-2 hours drive of Kent (nr Tunbridge Wells) that I could have a 5 minute go in..... unless anyone on here knows different?

I was going to buy Clangers kit on here which would have been ideal but I was beaten to it by someone else  If the new owner is on here and wants to change his mind then I am still on the market ;)
