Best of 48.35s -- which is over a second faster than I've ever achieved in a timed run at Aintree before, and turned in 16th FTD of 120+ competitors. Still well beaten by the brutally powerful Puma-engined Westie of John Loudon (in truth, he's no slouch at driving it either) which produced a best of 46.98s (13th FTD).
Other sub-1700cc kits came in with times of 52.08s (Martin Walker), 54.26s (Andy Taylor), 56.34s (David Kirkham), 60.43 (Bill Stevenson) and 70.97s (Carol Stevenson).
Unusually, a kit-car beat the single seaters to FTD -- Kurt Ramsden in his 5.0 Rover V8 Westie (43.88s).
On the basis of Saturday's experience, I'm fairly sure there's a 47s run in my car (and driver) given a bit more practice -- but getting into the 46s bracket might be a real challenge.
P.S. Full results available at http://www.liverpoolmotorclub.com/files ... e-2012.pdf
P.P.S. I got thrown out of Class 2A and into Class 3F for not running a windscreen -- northerners are like that
Sounds very impressive David , you must be pleased with that result
