Morning
Bought myself an early Christmas present this year. You may have seen it on fleBay
No chassis, only the body parts, including a windscreen frame, foot well, etc.
The front and rear tubs have never been fitted.
You ask why? Well knowing that if I ever was to have an not too major 'off' the panels for the Star are no longer around seeing the molds were cut up years ago.
So probably a one off chance and really a no brainer seeing I intend to keep the Star

I've only come across one other white Star
These panel still have the molding marks on them showing they've never been used etc.

Windscreen frame, drivers footwell molding and propshaft cover

Boot space flooring
Also, crossed fingers that the "garage" (if you can call it that) at the bottom of my garden, is due to be replaced by the landlord very soon. The plan is to knock it down and replace it with a wider more substantial version.

This will then enable me to start a complete strip and rebuild of the Star after 30 years it's a little tired. I've been sourcing various spares including a couple of front axles one off a Jensen for £5 which will be spares and this other one below which has already been refurbished including powder coated and poly-bushed. Bring it on, although don't tell my brother as I am supposed to finish his before starting mine . . .

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes . . .
There was a point to this story, but it has temporarily escaped the chronicler's mind
