It's looking really good, you're getting on with it quite quickly too!

I must say I'm glad to see large engine mount rubbers are used now, My Mojo Se vibrates a lot as other Se's and Riots with the Sigma engine do.

What inlet manifold does that engine use, is it an alloy one similar to the 1.7 Puma?

On the inlet side I'm going to use direct to head throttle bodies from AT. They do a kit complete with ECU etc. They are probably the smallest bodies I can find to fit in the gap I've got.

I've just watched a video link from the site you give with a 1.6 R1ot that has 194bhp

I don't think the Mojo has room for throttle bodies, not with decent trumpet lengths anyway as the engine's a lot closer to the bulkhead/seat backs than in a Riot. I can't even fit a Puma 1.7 manifold on as there's not enough room.

Hi all,

back in the land of the living and have managed some work on the car today. Should have been at real work but had an altercation with a Royal Mail arctic yesterday evening and have been sorting the insurance to get the Golf repaired!!

OK work done.

Karen, my Mrs, has treated me to some very nice Wilwood brakes!! Fronts are on and the backs need a little work to the mountings but nothing serious.

While I was feeling pityfull I treated myself to a fabricated header tank....so today have made up a mounting bracket, fitted it and completed the plumbing for the cooling. Have also temporarily filled it up with water and have no leaks!! None until I run it anyway!!

Have trial fitted the fuel tank and am about to mod the fuel pump braket so that it reaches the bottom of the tank.

Driveshafts are measured and ready to go away for shortening and I need to find someone to make some replacement top hat inserts for the bottom of my front upright mountings. I don't need a taper just a 1/2 inch clearance hole.

Anyway enough chat here's the pics







Oh yeah forgot to say that we had the car outside for the first time ever today - gave us a chance to tidy the workshop!!
