All Fury's and Stylus's ten years ago were supplied with 180 lbs front and 130 lbs rears !!!!! When I first used the fronts for the rear and bought 225lbs for the front , P.Powell and Mark Fisher thought I was crackers , as they considered JP designed cars to be fully developed ---- quote ! Many more incarnations have since followed and so did both manufacturers ;)

Jeff: We have no objection to you using airbrakes ;)

Really pi -----ed off now as just had to cancel my DEBDEN entry for tomorrow :x Loaded all the gear into the L Cruiser , greased the Stylus prop , cleaned and checked all the suspension , washed and leathered the damn thing . The sun is shining so thought I'll get the Stylus loaded and sheeted over ready for the RAIN onslaught that's forcast ---- she didn't start straight off as normal then started but tapping like hell and the charge light still full on. I've had hydraulic tappets play up once before on the old engine but not this noisy plus it didn't stop after reaching temp' , so I'm suspecting cam caps or worse/ small ends :(
There was no hint of it at BRANDS which is very odd but I'm not in the right frame of mind to start dismantaling the engine today :x
That's my potential 10 points wiped away towards a class Champ ' win this year

Go for it Brian , perhaps you'll beat Andy Silman's record at Debden. I was usually 2nd in his wake . He got under 60 sec's in 2004 !!!

Despite the overall shortfall, there are six entries in the "road-going kit up to 1700cc" class -- so don't expect an easy pot ;)

Great day in the sunshine (except for our ability in representing JPSC). Class 5 (Kit-Car up to 1700cc) finished:
Stuart Wood (Westfield SEi/Vauxhall): 33.22s
Christopher Hussey (Striker/Vauxhall): 33.28s
David Hussey (Striker/Vauxhall): 33.55s
Philip Wood (Westfield SEi/Vauxhall): 35.05s
Mark Jago (Dutton Melos): 38.63s

:D
