With the MX5 engine being so easily tuneable (and fairly cheap too) I cant imagine any 4 pot upgrades that would be worth changing to apart from maybe a v8 option or maybe bike engine but they would be a whole drive train change rather than just a simple engine swap.

I think the stylus is more of a tourer/fast road car than a track car anyway, yes, some people will track it but as an out and out track car there are plenty of suitable options.
