Hi from Chester
Thought I'd say hi rather than just continuing to lurk. New build is going well, helped along by the fact both me and the car are now in the same city!
Spec is:
Lightweight IRS chassis with 3.92 open sierra diff
1.4 k-series (ex caterham) with supersport cams + ecu
Type 9 5-speeder from XR4i
Classic bonnet + Doors + full screen + hood + tonneau
Anybody planning a NW (well, local to Chester) meet anytime soon?

Hi,
I grew up in Chester, but started slowly drifting south in 89
Out of curiosity, why did you go for the 1.4 and not a 1.6 or 1.8?

We had a small meet going at Whitchurch a few years ago. It would be good to resurrect this now that I have got my Striker on the road, and I know Mark (Maverick440) is keen to get something going.

Re: Hi from Chester
The 1.4k is a relic from my previous Fury, and was offered at a good price to me whilst I was building.
The long-term plan was to swap out the 1.4 bottom end for a 1.8 and carry the cams/inlet/ecu/lightweight fly across, but I never got around to it. Maybe this time......
Having said that the 1.4 gives good usable power for very little money / fuel / tax / insurance.
Maybe it's more in line with the charachter of this type of car to have a small capcity 4-pot?
